Over the past few years, Herbie the Hippo has had just one goal in mind ... keeping kids safe! To get his message across, Herbie the Hippo has visited many places and has taken part in many events
to teach children about safety.Herbie the Hippo has become involved with the Department of Education, the Safe Kids' Coalition, Hasbro Children's Hospital, WSNE's Kids' Fair, the Bristol
4th of July Parade, and many American Cancer Society events. Several grants have helped Herbie the Hippo introduce a stranger safety program to children in grades K-3 in elementary schools across seven states. Herbie the Hippo has also been featured in many newspaper articles, and has even been spotlighted on
local radio and television. As a result, Herbie the Hippo has enjoyed increasing recognition and popularity -- and he's been able to get his message out to more and more children and their parents.
